St. Jude’s Convent School, Shahkot, is founded and managed by the ‘Diocese of Jalandhar’. It is run by the Sisters of Franciscan Clarist Congregation, under the patronage and guidance of the Bishop of the ‘Diocese of Jalandhar,’ presently, Rt. Rev. Dr. Anil Jose Thomas Couto.

The Priest, who is the Director of the school, is the over-all incharge of everything. This school, being a minority community institution by Christians (registered under the Charitable Societies’ Act), enjoys all the rights and privileges enshrined in the Articles 29 and 30 of the Indian Constitution. This is a co-education school, open to students of all caste and creed.

Its motto is: WISDOM - LIGHT - LOVE. Studies open the thresholds of Widsom. Wisdom enables us to find the true Light. Guided by that Light, one finds the path of Love. Every effort is being made to impart to our students a sound and all-round education, in keeping with the Nation’s aspirations, thereby making them morally, physically and mentally fit to become active, useful and worthy citizens of our Motherland.

Aims and Objectives :-

The aim of this institution is to impart quality education, designed for the integral development of the child. Every effort is being made to give value based education and to prepare the pupils for the world of tomorrow. They are being enabled for their future life, by a careful cultivation of their mind, heart and body.

Stress is being laid on the blooming of their full potential - intellectually, morally, socially and professionally. Special emphasis is being placed on the virtues of truthfulness, honesty, politeness, simplicity, respect for others, punctuality and self-discipline.

Respect for everyone and intermingling with others, specially the less fortunate, are hallmarks of St. Jude School’s education. Although it is a Christian Minority school, every student is encouraged to practice his/her religion and taught to respect the religion of others.
